GARY LONG
OWNER, PRESIDENT

Gary Long was born in Fort Collins, Colorado. He began his music career at the age of 15, recording and touring the United States with a variety of bands. Gary's band credits include: Clear Creek, Travis, Hit & Run, Dreamer, Pavlov's Dog, Pranks, No Exit, Nice Brothers, Matt Iddings, the Matt Johnson Band,  Quiet Fire, Nosmokings, Bentli,  to name a few.

Gary moved to Dallas, Texas in 1984,  starting Nomad Recording Studios 6 years later. Initially, Nomad was an 8-track studio, expanding to 16-track shortly thereafter. In 1998, Gary achieved one of his dreams: upgrading Nomad to a state-of-the-art  multi room facility.   

Gary's passions include playing music of all kinds and recording and mastering.  "My personal goal is to provide artists with the best possible recording environment."

JT is currently working as an independent producer and engineer for various record labels, production companies and original material bands. JT is a gifted composer and musician, playing keyboard, cello, violin, viola, guitar, bass and drums. JT has over 10 years experience in the recording industry. His reputation is built on “maintaining absolute quality and professionalism with everyone that he works with”.

John is currently working as an independent producer/engineer and composer for various record labels, production companies and original material bands. John has more than 10 years experience in the recording industry and extensive touring experience. He is known for his artistic approach to recording and production and has recently won ” Best Producer” in Chicago’s Onion, beating out Ross Robinson. He has written music for MTV, Jackass, NBC, Scrubs and the Discovery Channel. He has worked and toured with many bands including: Kirk Franklin, Marilyn Manson, The Roots, Steve Albini, Doctor One, Auto Pilot Off, and Doosu.
